This is me at 5 years old. I'm a bit older now, yet some things
never change. Ever since I can remember I loved to draw and paint. My earliest wall mural was at 3 years old, when my two older brothers and I had the measles. Bored and quarantined at home, I
stood on the top of their bunk bed and as they cheered me on I drew a boy wearing a prison suit, stripes and all, measles all over his huge face. We laughed and felt a lot better. I didn't even get in
trouble. Thanks, Mom & Dad. Since then my creative path has allowed me many opportunities.
After studying illustration in New York, I painted giftware and worked in an advertising department. Then, for fifteen years, I worked in the home furnishings industry as the creative partner in an Arizona based manufacturing company. You may know their retail store,
the Iron
Factory.
I designed chandeliers and furniture, created showrooms & retail displays and traveled to many lighting and home furnishing markets. In 1997, I traveled to Italy as part of an art & architecture tour.
Such beauty, such history, such ART! That was it! What never
changed was my desire to draw and paint! I decided to follow my heart.
